Privacy Policy

Sleevewise is an app for cataloguing your vinyl record collection. This policy explains what we store, why, and the choices you have. It covers the Sleevewise app for iPhone and this website, sleevewise.app.

1. What we store

• Account: a random user ID. Sleevewise works without an email address or a password. If you save your account with Sign in with Apple, we also store the email address Apple shares with us, which can be a private relay address.
• Profile: the username, display name, bio, location, website and avatar you choose to add.
• Your collection: records in your collection and wantlist, folders, tags, notes, conditions, prices, listening history, lists, dig plans, store check-ins, challenge entries and price alerts.
• Social activity: who you follow, who follows you, and the activity created when you use social features.
• Subscription status: whether Sleevewise Premium is active. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
• Technical data: your push notification token, and error reports (with your user ID) that help us fix crashes.

2. Location and photos

When you look for nearby record stores or fairs, your current location is sent to our server to run the search; it is not stored. If you use cover recognition, the photo you take is sent through our server to DeepSeek, an AI image-recognition service, to identify the record; we don't keep it. The app asks before the first photo is sent.

3. How we use your data

Only to provide Sleevewise: syncing your collection across devices, social features, the notifications you allow, and your subscription. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. Who can see it

Profiles are public by default: other Sleevewise users can see your profile, collection, lists and activity. You can make your profile private at any time in Edit Profile.

5. Service providers

• Supabase: hosting, database and sign-in, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
• RevenueCat: subscription management.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): push notifications.
• Discogs: record information. If you connect your Discogs account, your Discogs username is saved to your profile, your access tokens stay on your device, and your collection is synced with Discogs.
• OpenFreeMap: map tiles for the maps, drawn from OpenStreetMap data.
• DeepSeek: identifies the record in a cover photo, when you use cover recognition.
• Cloudflare: hosts and delivers this website.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. An account that isn't saved with Apple can only be opened on the device that created it, and signing out of it deletes it. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Collection data cached on your device is removed when you sign out.

7. This website

sleevewise.app is a static website. It sets no cookies, loads no advertising or tracking scripts, and has no account or form. Cloudflare, which delivers the pages, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to serve them and protect the site from abuse. If we ever add visit statistics, they will be off until you accept them, and this section will say so.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it can be edited or deleted directly in the app; for anything else, write to us. If you are in the European Union, you can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
