Mega Record & CD Fair 2026: Den Bosch, 14–15 November

The Mega Record & CD Fair returns for its 63rd edition on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026, at the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch ('s-Hertogenbosch), in the south of the Netherlands. Organiser Record Planet bills it as the world's largest record and CD fair, with dealers from more than 30 countries setting up across a hall it describes as nearly the size of two football fields.

For anyone who has never made the trip, the fair is the single biggest date on the European crate-digging calendar: two days of stalls, several thousand collectors, and stock ranging from cheap bulk bins to four-figure rarities.

The 63rd Mega Record & CD Fair runs:

at the Brabanthallen, Den Bosch's main exhibition centre. One quirk worth knowing before you search for tickets: Record Planet and other listings still sometimes label the event "Mega Record and CD Fair Utrecht", a leftover from the fair's earlier home. It has been held at the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch for its recent editions, including the spring 2026 fair on 11–12 April, so search for "Den Bosch" or "'s-Hertogenbosch" if a map search comes up empty.

A fair measured in football pitches

Record Planet has organised the Mega Record & CD Fair for more than 30 years, and its own description leans on scale: "the world's largest vinyl show on earth," spread over an area it compares to nearly two football pitches, with international dealers travelling in from over 30 countries every edition. A third-party event listing for the April 2026 edition put expected attendance at around 15,000 visitors over the weekend; Record Planet's own materials do not give a visitor count, so treat that figure as an estimate rather than an official one.

Den Bosch's November weekend is the biggest of several fairs Record Planet ran in 2026. Smaller, single-day events took place at Hoorn city centre on 29 August, Amsterdam RAI on 20 September and Rotterdam Ahoy on 26 September, followed by a two-day fair on Haarlem's Grote Markt on 3–4 October. None of those matches the Den Bosch weekend for scale, but they're useful staging posts if you're planning a longer Dutch digging trip around the main event, much as UK and Irish collectors plan routes around Record Store Day or a chain of independent shops (see our crate-digging guide for how to plan one).

Looking ahead to 2027

Record Planet already has two further editions on its calendar: the 64th Mega Record & CD Fair on 10–11 April 2027, and a 65th back in Den Bosch on 13–14 November 2027. If November doesn't suit, the spring date gives European collectors a second annual chance at the same venue and the same scale of stock.

Planning your dig

A fair this size punishes wandering in without a plan. Walk the room once before buying anything, so you know roughly what each dealer specialises in and what condition their stock tends to run; prices for the same title can vary a lot between tables at an event this size. Bring a wantlist, a price ceiling for anything you're chasing, and a way to check what you already own, since duplicate-buying is the classic regret of a two-day fair.
